Once upon a time with the leadership of David Moore, a BLM employee, there was trust. Mr. Moore reached out in the popular Calguns forum and encouraged following the rules. He shared the rules with us and Calguns members organized cleanup of trash left at BLM by idiots. Mr. Moore is no longer in this same job and BLM’s attitude is very different.
This writer got to know a maintenance worker at Tumey. I would often go to Tumey alone or with others. Seeing and talking with this worker became a routine when he was there fixing something damaged by idiots. Just before he retired he told me, “I enjoy shooting myself, but others at the office don’t. They are talking about ways to completely shut down target shooting.“
It is discretionary judgement by bureaucrats that I worry about. It is their bias plus discretion that allows them to ignore the USFS Study that proves shooting with copper jacketed lead ammo is fire safe. It is this discretion that wastes Tax Payer money and mismanages Tumey.
